I bought a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am on eBay for $710. It had been sitting for about 10 years. I plan on restoring it. I am not sure at this point if I want to keep the original engine and rebuild it or buy a crate engine. The body has some rust. I’ve never done any bodywork before, so this will be a learning experience for me.

I just bought a 79 TA 6.6 also to do a fram off with my 12 year old boy. We are at similar points. My unibody is removed from sub frame body totally stripped. I was on today buying and auto rotisserie for the spring to do metal and body work. We should definetly speak and share ideas and problems since we are in the same boat. I am in New Jersey.
