I bought a set of 4 15×7 snowflake wheels on eBay for $181. Spent about 30 minutes just seeing how well they will clean up. Looks like with very little work, they will shine nicely.

How did the rims turn out, and what did you do to them . I have a set that I was thinking of redoing, just polished aluminum.

Hi Bob, I haven’t put much time into the wheels yet other than bought some aircraft stripper to remove the paint – someone had spray painted 2 of them (don’t ask me why). The aircraft stripper works great to remove the paint – just remember to heed the warning about wearing chemical resistant gloves – it ate a hole in the cloth gloves I had on and started to burn my finger.
Here’s an article that I found that gives some great tips on cleaning them:

I haven’t been able to find anything that will let me get all the way into the corners to get down to bare aluminum. If you know of something, let me know.
