I removed the driveshaft and the rest of the exhaust. I also checked the power window motors by hooking jumper cables to the battery in my van and then to the window motor. Both windows go up and down quickly so I won’t need to spend any money on new motors.

I am not an electric expert but do you have to be careful on what you can test by hooking up the parts directly to a car battery? I know everything should be 12 volts but the battery puts out a lot of amps and can an excess amount of amps damage some electronics?

Hey Jesse
I’d be glad to help, but since this is my first experience with restoration (with any body work and internal engine work), I’m not sure what advice I could give
I may be able to help a lot with how *not* to do things
